Sahn Ward Braff Coschignano

Eugene J. Martin is Senior Counsel with the Firm, and concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate law and transactions, including acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial and residential properties.

Throughout his career, Mr. Martin has also represented both institutional and private lenders in various commercial loan transactions. In addition, Mr. Martin has extensive experience with Small Business Administration 7(a) and 504 loan transactions, and Industrial Development Agency loan transactions. He regularly advises clients in all aspects of due diligence and contract compliance from inception to closing, including the review of title, leases, corporate documents and environmental reports and surveys.

Mr. Martin has lectured in continuing education programs for the New York City and Nassau County Bar Associations.

Mr. Martin is admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2006.

He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola College in Maryland (B.A.) and his law degree from Hofstra School of Law (J.D.).

Eugene J. Martin will be based in the firm's Uniondale office.

Senior Counsel, Eugene J. Martin, along with Partner, Wayne G. Edwards, guided our client, Anchor Capital Group, in its purchase of two, roughly 26,000 sq. ft. retail/industrial buildings on Great East Neck Road in West Babylon. As reported in Newsday, the transaction closed on July 8, 2026, for a purchase price of $3,000,000. The Firm guided our client through contract negotiations, due diligence, zoning issues, and financing the acquisition. The Firm was pleased to work with the Anchor Capital Group team on another successful acquisition as it expands its real estate portfolio.

Great Neck retail property trades for $3.15M

Firm Member Michael H. Sahn, along with Senior Counsel Eugene Martin, guided our client in the sale of an automotive use property on Northern Boulevard in Great Neck to an established local real estate investor user. The $3,150,000.00 sale closed on January 27th.

We were gratified to accomplish this sale for our client who had owned the property for many years.
