LIBN Interviews Wayne Edwards on the Current Trend in Development of Service Stations
Wayne Edwards, a Partner with the Firm, was interviewed by Long Island Business News interviewed on the current industry trend for gasoline service stations to expand goods and services to boost revenues by adding full-service convenience stores on the premises. The article cites QuickChek and Cumberland Farms as examples.
Mr. Edwards, who has obtained numerous approvals for many of the Firm's clients, said this gas station/large-scale convenience store model is a relatively unfamiliar concept to Long Island, which is why many may not be open to this idea. "The QuickChek model is something not common to Long Island, though, if you go out of the area, it's accepted," he said. "Long Island decision makers are having trouble getting their heads around it. I think, when people realize that it works and the world doesn’t end, it will be easier to get them built here."
